1986

CYG was founded by the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The registered capital was US$63,000.

1991

CYG was recognized by the municipal government of Shenzhen and the provincial government of Guangdong as one of the first batch of high-tech enterprises.

1995

Concord Investment Co., Ltd. became the controlling shareholder. Concord Investment is a member of Cheung Kong group, the flagship company of Hong Kong tycoon Mr. Ka Shing Li’s multinational business. The registered capital was increased to US$5.8 million.

1999

CYG was recognized by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the PRC and the Chinese Academy of Sciences as a high-tech enterprise.

2000

CYG changed to a stock-holding company. The registered capital was increased to US$9.3 million.

2002

CYG, then named Shenzhen Changyuan New Material Co., Ltd., was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, with 25,000,000 A shares issued. The registered capital was increased to US$12.4 million.

2003

As approved by the Shenzhen government, our research and development center was upgraded to the Shenzhen R&D Center for Polymer Materials Radiation Manufacturing and Engineering.

2003

Money Weekly ranked CYG 89th in their “Top 100 Most Profitable Listed Companies in China”

CYG successfully passed the changing of certification of ISO 9001:2000.

CYG and its main subsidiaries achieved ISO 14001 environmental certification.

2004

Guangdong Changyuan, one of CYG’s main subsidiaries, was awarded as “Prominent Trademarks of Guangdong”.

Our Power Cable Accessories product achieved KEMA certification. This is the first product to achieve such certification in China.

New Fortune ranked CYG 61st in their “Top 100 Fastest Growing Listed Companies in China”.

China Internet Weekly ranked CYG 14th in their “Top 50 Listed Technology Companies in China”.

Guangdong Changyuan, one of CYG’s main subsidiaries, was upgraded as Foshan High Voltage Electrical Power Insulation Engineering Technology Centre.

CYG was awarded as “The Most Influential Brands in Shenzhen in 2004”.

Forbes (Chinese version) first released “China’s 100 Most Potential Small to Medium Enterprise”. CYG was ranked 83rd.

CYG was awarded as “Top 50 Listed Technology Companies in China” again from China Internet Weekly.

Our Halogen Free Heat Shrinkable Tubing was recognized as a Highlighted Advanced Product in China.

CYG was awarded as “Prominent Trademarks of Guangdong”.

CYG completed the reform for non-tradable shares as encouraged by China Securities Regulatory Commission.

CYG was recognized as a national corporate technology center by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance, the China Customs, and the State Administration of Taxation.

CYG was awarded as “Top 100 Listed Companies” by the Shanghai Stock Exchange Famed Companies List.

CYG acquired 35% shareholding in Shenzhen NARI Co., Ltd.

CYG successfully increased the shareholding in Dongguan Gaoneng Industrial Co., Ltd. To 36.31%. We continued to expand in electrical power industry.

CYG was listed as a postdoctoral scientific research center by the Ministry of Personnel.

Four of the 110kV power cable accessories products passed the national certification.

CYG acquired 69% shareholding in Zhuhai Contron Co., Ltd. and became the controlling shareholder.

CYG acquired 69% shareholding in Shanghai Wayon Thermo-Electro Materials Co., Ltd. and became the controlling shareholder.

 
 
Shenzhen Changyuan New Material Co., Ltd. has been renamed to ChangYuan Group Ltd. (“CYG”) w.e.f. March 1,2006.
